Flandra Williams-Grim
Director of Community Health & Equity
I joined AAAWLC with the thought that in this work true manifestation is backed by service, inspiration and advocacy. What better idea than to join a team that believes in just that and cultivating growth within a community- Planting seeds in OUR own backyard speaks volume to the work that Amelia Ann Adams began and that is still progressing. I believe the work that we do is serving a greater purpose and that we are helping facilitate positive change within the community. I am grateful for the opportunity to fulfill a piece of life’s purpose- within the organization- in changing the narrative of what family looks like within a community, by highlighting strength, collaboration, support and safety as a unit. I want to be sure that in all that I do, that my service to others is led in love, social connection and a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves. I am excited to be a part of a legacy that has continued in strength, purpose and empowerment.
